Just five months after its appointment as ANZ dealer for CRON– ECRM, AGS has been recognised for its efforts as one of the fastest growing dealers worldwide and for the most sales in the ANZ region at CRON’s international dealer meeting in Hangzhou China.
AGS director Glenn Maynard said: “This is a very exciting time for AGS. It shows that the print industry is still investing in new and improved equipment, and all it takes is a little extra effort, the right staff and the desire to assist our customers to be successful.”
Andrew Dunn, product development for prepress products for AGS, added: “We understand that printers need to upgrade their old systems, to be green and to be far more efficient in their business. CRON is a great cost-effective way to do this and we are keen to help those who want to learn how.”
With more than 20 patents in its portfolio, CRON is an international leader in developing technologies for the graphic communications industry. It is one of the world’s largest CtP manufacturers with 4,000 installations worldwide.
New products win praise for flexibility, economy and waste reduction
CRON demonstrated its commitment to innovation by announcing several new products at drupa 2016, evolving the company’s product offering from the traditional CtP market into broader fields of offset press optimisation, plate production and flexo packaging where its products deliver great flexibility for a variety of packaging and labelling functions.
The high performance CRON HDI Flexo 1600 CtP, for example, has been designed with CRON’s philosophy of reducing waste. As well as having a low-environmental impact, it delivers superior performance and fast turnaround platesetting at an economical investment.
The exposure platform, based on CRON’s magnetic linear drive system, has gained much praise in the offset CtP market for its ability to image accurate and high quality dots from 1-99%, easily competing with offset quality when printed. HDI Flexo variants are compatible with all digital photopolymer plates, ablative films and polyester-based letterpress plates.
CRON’s TP46 Series of thermal platesetters also offer optimum flexibility of use. With a maximum plate size of 1160 × 940mm, CRON TP46 products cover the full spectrum of print jobs from B1 to A3+, with full flexibility of plate format down to the minimum of 450 × 370mm. The TP46 models allow users to tune production to their individual resolution and throughput requirements.
Existing customers have been very impressed by the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of CRON’s CtP systems. Extremely accurate register and punching systems reduce makeready time and waste, which means a substantial cost saving. In addition, the units are very compact, making them incredibly convenient for installation.
