With only days to go before AUSPACK opens and the National Technical Forums, which run alongside the exhibition, get underway, this is your last chance to check out the details on more speakers for this informative and educational event.

Don't miss Jackie Smiles, environment and sustainability manager, Blackmores, who will present a paper on why the company was APC's Signatory of the Year on Friday, March 10 at the National Technical Forums alongside AUSPACK 2017.

Blackmores was recognised as the Australian Packaging Covenant’s ‘Signatory of the Year’ at the 2016 Awards, with the highest overall performance in the last reporting period. As a founding signatory, the organisation continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to packaging sustainability. Smiles, who manages the Blackmores global sustainability program, will discuss the company’s approach to sustainability highlighting key elements and achievements. She will also cover influences and behaviours required to drive successful implementation and results.

Speakers at this session will include David Hodge, managing director, Plastic Forests, who will be discussing 'Making the circular economy work for contaminated PE films'; Steve Davies, director corporate communications public affairs, NatureWorks, who will cover ‘Plastics in packaging: a circular economy blueprint'; Dr Helen Lewis, principal, Helen Lewis Research, who will be speaking on ‘Global trends in product stewardship: implications for the Australian packaging industry’; and Rowan Williams, chairman, Australasian Bioplastics Association, who will present ‘Re-thinking progress: A global understanding of the circular economy'.
