QUADRA™ establishes a new standard in the market by transferring all the technology to a convenient dedicated configuration for the hight quality 1 to 4 colours labels, keeping the same performances of the top of the range Combat line.
GIDUE broadens its range of Combat narrow web presses introducing the Quadra™ series, a press specifically dedicated to the label market. In order to maximize the benefit from the investment GIDUE launches a 4 colours + 1 die-cut fixed configuration press, available in the widths of 280 mm, 370 mm and 430 mm which keeps all the performances of the traditional Combat series (the Flower concept, 150 mts. Min. production etc.). The press is not retrofittable with any additional colour or converting application.
The Quadra™ is available in 3 configurations, 4 UV, or 4 Hot air/IR, or 4 Hot air/IR + 1 UV.

A lot of existing letterpress printers are looking for a solution to enter the flexo market without a major investment in technology and in capital. As the QUADRA™ keeps all the benefits of the Flower™ concept (no ink in the hands of the operator. organized working environment, no adjustments in printing, possibility of using totally unskilled operators), the learning process to enter the flexo world is reduced and made easier, with a limited investment.
In case of very competitive price pressure, the productivity of the QUADRA™ can help the program towards specialized production lines in the medium-big size printing companies. A 1 to 4 clours high productivity press takes away a lot of work from more capital consuming multicolour presses, making production more rational in terms of capital and human resources use.
When customers are facing space problems, the QUADRA™ can be very helpful too, due to its compact configuration (330x150 cm. everything included). The press can be positioned very close to other presses, and increase of productivity can be obtained without major floor space consumption.
Last but not least objective is the zero tolerance to errors (Six Sigma). Due to the reduced number of variables, the QUADRA™ is the first focus of the newly lauched GIDUE quality program which forecasts zero error in all the operations by the end of year 2004. Gulmen Engineering introduced the sale of the first Gidue Combat machine in Australia and we have sold 10 Gidue presses in Australia and New Zealand within the past two years.
We also offer a line-up of used equipment. Our consumables range includes spare parts for Kopack letterpress machinery, and for Labelmen and Gidue machinery, as well as doctor blades and roll cleaners.
